Friendswood mother accused of providing alcohol to teenagers and vandalizing her home with toilet paper and shaving cream

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas (KTRK) — A 42-year-old mother is currently in custody for her role in vandalizing a home with several teenagers in Friendswood, according to police.

Sarah Michelle Harding is charged with giving alcohol to a minor, criminal mischief and unlawful carrying of a weapon after an incident early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Melodywood Drive around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports that several people had damaged property.

According to the Friendswood Police Department, Harding traveled to the area with 12 teenagers and participated in throwing toilet paper and shaving cream at a house. Officers also noticed the presence of alcohol on a 16-year-old and Harding.

During a quick search of Harding's car, officers found a gun, vodka and an alcoholic beverage called a “Buzz Ball.”

Everyone involved was arrested, but authorities later released the teens into the custody of another adult, police said.

Some of the teens involved and Harding are believed to be linked to other disorderly behavior and the viral “Door Knock” challenge that gained attention from December 2023 to January 2024.

In a Facebook post in January, the Friendswood Police Department showed video footage of what appeared to be teenagers with head coverings walking towards a house and kicking and banging loudly on doors late in the day. evening.
