Four people charged in Macomb Co human trafficking operation.

Four people have been charged in connection with an alleged human trafficking ring in Macomb County, officials said.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said the two women and two men were arrested during raids earlier this week in Macomb and Shelby townships.

Chengai Jin, 54, of Macomb Township, Jie Liang, 61, of Eastpointe, Chun Jin, 48, of Macomb Township, and Zhanghuan Peng, 50, of Shelby Township were arraigned Thursday before two district courts in Macomb County, the sheriff's office said.

Jin, Jin and Peng were arraigned in Shelby Township 41-A District Court, according to court records.

Chengai Jin was charged with accepting earnings from a person engaged in prostitution, a 20-year felony; pimping, a 20-year felony; keeping a house of prostitution, a 5-year felony; conspiracy to commit prostitution or keep a house of prostitution, a 5-year felony; and loitering in a house of ill repute, a 90-day misdemeanor.
