Four people arrested at Disney Concert Hall and gunshots heard

Four individuals were arrested at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles after witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the middle of a fight between minors.

A high school graduation ceremony for approximately 100 students from the Los Angeles County area was disrupted by a fight between several people, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Witnesses say an individual whose identity is unknown or withheld jumped over a second-story balcony and assaulted one of the graduation ceremony attendees; it is unclear what the motive or relationship between the two might be.

According to KTLA, numerous witnesses reported hearing gunshots and bullet casings were recovered at the scene by the LAPD. No injuries have yet been reported, neither among the participants nor among the police, according to the police.

The graduation ceremony was hosted by the Los Angeles County Office of Education and the Los Angeles County Probation Department, and approximately one-third of the graduating students were currently on probation. At the time of the initial assault, all students on probation were reportedly out of the auditorium and in a secure holding area (according to the LA Times.)

Los Angeles County probation officials released a statement saying, “We are pleased to report that all inmate probation graduates and graduates at the Los Angeles County Office of Education are unharmed, safe and safe. The safety and security of all young people in Los Angeles County is of the utmost importance. The Probation Department will continue to work with our neighboring law enforcement agencies and partners to celebrate the accomplishments of our youth while working to create a safer community.

The Walt Disney Concert Hall is located at Grand Avenue and Hope Street in Los Angeles and was initially funded by a $50 million endowment from Lillian Disney, the wife of company founder Walt Disney. Disney Concert Hall is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Master Chorale and frequently appears in pop culture as a Los Angeles landmark. He recently appeared in the Mickey Mouse episode, “Outback at Ya!”
