Four injured, three arrested after drive-by shooting in Claiborne County

CLAIBORNE CO., Miss. (WLBT) – Three people, including a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Claiborne County that left four people injured.

According to the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department, the incident happened on May 27 around 1:15 a.m. on Northside Drive.

Deputies responded to reports of shots fired when a black Nissan Altima struck by multiple gunshots was discovered. Four young men were found lying near the car with gunshot wounds.

All four victims were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Their identities have not been released.

After further investigation, the Sheriff's Department arrested Clydarrious Johnson, Jeremiah Jackson and a juvenile.

They were charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drive-by shooting, possession of stolen firearms and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Claiborne County says additional arrests and charges are expected.
