Four Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, police officers placed on leave

Four Broken Arrow police officers have been placed on administrative leave due to allegations of misconduct, the department announced Wednesday.

In a press release, the Broken Arrow Police Department stated that: “On Monday, May 27, 2024, during a call for service, Broken Arrow Police Department patrol officers discovered allegations of misconduct from their colleagues who occurred on Thursday May 23, 2024. . The alleged misconduct was related to the call for service and the patrol officers' investigation.

The release states that patrol officers at the scene immediately alerted the department's chain of command, which resulted in an expedited review of the incident by the Police Chief's Office.

Four BAPD officers have been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

The police department contacted the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and requested an independent criminal investigation into the actions of the four officers.

Officials said the department is fully cooperating with OSBI and will submit all findings to the district attorney's office for review.
