Fort Smith woman jailed after stabbing

FORT SMITH, Ark. — A 21-year-old was arrested in Fort Smith after allegedly stabbing someone.

According to a release from the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD), officers responded to a report of a stabbing and found a 58-year-old man suffering from multiple injuries.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on June 5, near the intersection of North 5th Street and A Street. A woman named Summer Meeks was arrested and booked into the Sebastian County Jail.

FSPD says the victim was transported to a nearby hospital and the extent of the injuries is unknown.
