Forsyth County Fire gets help from local municipalities to put out 9,000-acre house fire – WSB-TV Channel 2

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Fire Department, with help from two other municipalities, helped put out a fire Tuesday.

Firefighters say they responded to a 9,000 square foot home on Pine Tree Circle. Due to the size of the fire and its location, authorities say 15 fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to put out the fire.

Although the fire presented difficult circumstances, FCFD received assistance from partner agencies Hall County Fire Rescue and the Gainesville Fire Department.

These municipalities helped provide multiple units to assist during this incident, as well as Dawson County Fire and Emergency Services to provide personnel to one of the FCFD stations while the fire was active.

“Thanks to the exceptional teamwork of our engine companies and support services, the fire was brought under control by 9am and the house was saved with the potential to be repaired and inhabited. No residents or no pets in the household were harmed,” the department said. .

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
