Former WWE Star Arrested Over 'Violent Knife Attack' Incident

WWE

A former WWE star has been arrested after a “knife violence” incident in Kansas City, Missouri this month.

As TMZ reports, former WCW 2 tag team champion Cold Scorpio, real name Charles Scaggs, was arrested on June 15 after a “gas station fight.”

According to TMZ, Scaggs, who also wrestled in WWE under the name Flash Funk, told authorities he was working as security at a gas station and saw a man lighting a cigarette inside the store.

Victim tells TMZ he didn't light it in the store, but came in with a cigarette that “may not have been completely out” even though he thought he had put it out .

Scaggs claimed he told the victim he couldn't smoke inside and the victim responded, “Fuck you the f*** are you going to do?”

Scaggs then claimed he was threatened by the other man who “tried to grab him” outside, so Scaggs pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed him in “self-defense.”

According to Scaggs, the altercation continued for “several more moments” and he “threw a few more punches.”

Police arriving at the scene said they saw the victim lying on the ground, bleeding from “the head, chest, buttocks, legs and abdomen”, and had to be taken to hospital because he was starting to lose consciousness.

When investigators contacted him, he told them Scaggs was the attacker.

Scaggs, 58, was arrested on two charges: one count of first-degree assault and one count of armed criminal action.

He pleaded not guilty after being released and is due to appear in court next month.
