Former Raiders player is person of interest in investigation into missing son

Former Raiders defensive tackle Daniel Muir has been named a person of interest in the investigation into his missing son, who has not been seen in two weeks.

According to FOX59, Muir's son, Bryson, was last seen by anyone other than his parents on June 16, when he left his grandmother's house with his mother, Kristen, outside of Cleveland, Ohio.

After leaving the house, Bryson's grandmother reported to police that the child had a black eye and was possibly being abused. Bryson's mother was arrested just minutes after leaving the house, but the child was not in the car.

Here are more details, according to the report:

Indiana State Police are asking for the public's help in locating Bryson Muir, a 14-year-old boy last seen 12 days ago who may be a victim of parental abuse. Bryson is the son of former Colts defensive end Daniel Muir, who is now a person of interest in the investigation.

Bryson was last seen by non-parental family members on June 16 after leaving his grandmother's house outside Cleveland, Ohio with his mother, Kristen Muir, in a white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban .

The child's grandmother reported to police that the child had a black eye and was possibly being abused by his parents.

Indiana State Police Capt. Ron Galaviz said it was only a few minutes between the time the son and mother left the house and when local police stopped their Suburban.

However, officers said Bryson was not found in the car with his mother.

Police have been unable to make contact with Bryson's parents as of Thursday, June 27, but both are “beginning to cooperate” with the investigation, despite previously “backing out” of a deal to get Bryson to speak to authorities.

A Silver Alert was issued Friday for the 6-foot-2, 185-pound teen, who has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing an orange Under Armour shirt and blue jeans.

Muir signed with the Raiders in 2013 and appeared in 10 games during his lone season with the franchise.
