Two women have filed a lawsuit against former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus, alleging he sexually assaulted them during the team's flight to London for a game last year, according to Michael ESPN's DiRocco.

The two women, who have not been named, filed the lawsuit Friday evening in Duval County Circuit Civil Court. They are seeking more than a million dollars in damages.

The women worked as flight attendants on the Jaguars' charter flight to London in September 2023 ahead of their game against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium. The theft, according to the women, “quickly turned into a party.”

McManus and other players disregarded the agents' personal space, airline security and federal laws, according to the report, and McManus allegedly recruited other flight attendants for the party and distributed $100 bills to try to get them to drink and dance for him.

The first woman, according to the lawsuit, said McManus tried to kiss her while she sat during the turbulence. He also allegedly collided with her twice while she was serving food and drinks. The second woman said McManus also clashed with her during one of the flight's meal services. She said she confronted McManus about it, but he “smiled and walked away.” The second woman said she stayed on the second level of the plane to avoid him on the team's flight back to Jacksonville after the game.

The two women also included the Jaguars in their lawsuit for allegedly failing to supervise McManus and failing to create a safe environment for personnel aboard the plane. The charter flight was the first where both women worked for the team, according to the report, and they said they experienced “severe mental anguish, anxiety, psychological and emotional distress, embarrassment and confusion.” 'humiliation'.

McManus got his start with the Denver Broncos, where he spent the first nine years of his career. He made 30 of 37 field goals and scored all of his extra points with the Jaguars last season. Jacksonville has yet to sign McManus this offseason, but he has since signed a one-year deal worth $3.6 million with the Washington Commanders.

“Earlier today, we were informed of the civil lawsuit filed on May 24 against Brandon McManus,” the commanders said in a statement. “We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are investigating the matter. We are in communication with the league office and Brandon representation, and will reserve further comment at this time.

Neither the Jaguars nor McManus have yet spoken about the lawsuit, although McManus is likely to release a statement later Monday, according to the report.
