Former ILTexas teacher arrested for alleged sexual assault

A former International Leadership of Texas teacher has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old student, according to a probable cause report from the College Station Police Department.

Jose Adrian Hernandez Grimaldo, 46, was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to Brazos County jail records.

On September 27, 2023, police said they received a report from a parent accusing Hernández Grimaldo of touching their child inappropriately.

In a subsequent interview with investigators, the victim told officers that Grimaldo took them to a bathroom, covered their mouths, assaulted them and then threatened to kill them if they told anyone. , according to the probable cause report.

Grimaldo also allegedly rubbed the victim's thigh, according to police.

Agents said they obtained records from the College Station school that showed Hernandez Grimaldo was later removed from the school after the administration became aware of two instances in which Grimaldo allegedly touched other students in a manner inappropriate.

In an email to family and staff, Eddie Conger, founder and superintendent of ILTexas, said safety remains his top priority. Conger also said parents should continue to report suspicious activity immediately.

An ILTexas representative said all other questions should be directed to CSPD.

CSPD declined to comment further on the case in order to protect the victim.

The documents also contained testimonies from students who said Hernandez Grimaldo touched their belly buttons and played with the students' hair, according to police.

Hernandez Grimaldo, of Seagoville, was booked into the Brazos County Jail on Thursday.

Aggravated sexual assault of a child is a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Hernández Girlmaldo is being held on $200,000 bail, according to jail records.
