Fading boxing star Deontay Wilder faces serious allegations of physical abuse and a restraining order granted to his fiancee.

According to a report from USA Today, Wilder is accused of abusing his fiancée, Shuntel “Telli” Swift, multiple times since they began dating in 2015, including instances where he “choked and attacked ” the 37-year-old woman.

The woman's account adds that Wilder deliberately hit her son's head against a car when he was 11 years old.

Wilder and Swift share a 6-year-old daughter. Swift also has an 18-year-old son. She added that Wilder's behavior was unstable amid his struggles as a boxer. The restraining order against Wilder was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on May 30.

The outlet noted that Swift requested the restraining order, fearing unbalanced behavior from Wilder ahead of his June 1 fight against Zilhei Zhang in Saudi Arabia, which ended in defeat.

Court documents quote Swift as saying she advised Wilder to seek therapy as he began to regress in his boxing career.

Wilder lost a straight heavyweight battle to Tyson Fury from 2020 to 2021 and the former WBC heavyweight champion has lost four of his last five matches.

As previously reported on OutKick, Wilder was arrested on gun charges in early May of this year.
