Former Florida dean arrested for alleged sexual exploitation of students | NewsRadio WFLA

Ocala, FL – A former dean at Vanguard High School in Ocala has been arrested for sexual exploitation of multiple students.

The arrest took place on Friday following allegations made by students earlier this month.

Students reported several instances of inappropriate contact with 42-year-old Gregory Ramputi, according to Ocala police.

The accusations include groping, asking students to expose their breasts and engaging in sexual acts with one of the victims.

In one case, Ramputi allegedly asked to see nude photos of a student.

Ramputi faces a series of serious charges, including crimes against students by an authority figure, unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, traveling to meet a minor, indecent, lewd or lascivious touching of certain minors and possession of child pornography.

The Marion County School District confirmed Ramputi was a teacher at North Marion Middle School in 2015 before transferring to Vanguard High School that same year.

In 2021, he was promoted to the position of Student Services Manager.

Ramputi resigned from his post on May 21.

Ocala Police are urging anyone who has had a similar experience with Ramputi to come forward and contact the department.
