Forest Park murder suspect arrested in DeKalb County | News

A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting Aug. 4, 2023, in Forest Park was arrested over Memorial Day weekend, the Clayton County Sheriff's Office said.According to a Nixle alert from CCSO, suspect Victor Langston was arrested at a DeKalb County hotel and was booked into the Clayton County Jail Monday evening.Langston, 40, of 609 Waterway Trail, Powder Springs, is charged with malice murder and has his first appearance scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 in Clayton County Magistrate Court.On August 4, 2023, Forest Park Police responded to 4233 Jonesboro Road in Forest Park for a report of a victim who had been shot in the head.The Forest Park Police Department identified Langston as a suspect and murder warrants were obtained.CCSO placed Langston on its 10 most wanted list and the chase led investigators on the run to a DeKalb County hotel, the Clayton County Sheriff's Office said.The hotel room was surrounded and gas was deployed, according to CCSO, with Langston arrested without incident.Authorities found a loaded firearm inside the room, CCSO said.
