Fond du Lac police responding to disturbance find stabbing victim

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) – One Fond du Lac man is in custody, another Fond du Lac man is in the hospital being treated for a stab wound.

Police said they were called about a disturbance in the 100 block of E. 1st. St. shortly before 10:30 Monday evening. While responding, dispatchers learned that a person may have been stabbed.

Police arrived and removed most people from the house, but the victim and suspect remained inside. Police entered and found a 41-year-old man with a back injury. He is expected to recover. Police also found a pair of scissors used in the stabbing.

A 45-year-old man was arrested without incident. He is suspected of recklessly endangering safety and serious battery.

The men have not been publicly identified.

According to police, it appears that alcohol was a factor in the disturbances.
