Foley woman accused of stabbing boyfriend with kitchen knife: police

FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Baldwin County woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend with a knife has been arrested, according to the Foley Police Department.

FPD officers arrested Shau Yanite Pickens, 43, of Foley, on Wednesday, June 19, after responding to a stabbing at 11 p.m. in the 21000 block of US Highway 98.

Pickens is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the abdomen with a kitchen knife, according to an FPD news release.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening stab wound, and Pickens was charged with second-degree domestic violence and taken to the Foley City Jail, according to the release.

Police say the matter, including any element of self-defense, remains under investigation.
