THE FIRST ARRIVED SATURDAY, INJURING FIVE PEOPLE, INCLUDING THREE TEENS. THE SECOND HAPPENED YESTERDAY WHERE TWO TEENS WERE ARRESTED. Several events will take place in our region for this memorial day to honor those who fought for our country. THE VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON HOLDS ITS ANNUAL PARADE AT 8:00 THIS MORNING AT VILLAGE HALL, FOLLOWED BY A CEREMONY, THEN IN THE PALM BEACH GARDENS. A MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY STARTS AT 9:00 AM AT THE VETERANS PLAZA AMPHITHEATRE. ANOTHER CEREMONY TAKES PLACE IN JUPITER AT THE TOWN HALL. IT’S AT 9:00 AM AND IN BOCA RATON, A CEREMONY STARTS AT 9:00 AM AT THE BOCA RATON CEMETERY. And then there will be a concert tonight. AT MEISSNER PARK, STARTING AT 7:00 PM AND THEN ON THE TREASURE COAST, THERE WILL BE A MEMORIAL DAY PARADE IN STUART ON EASTERN OCEAN BOULEVARD. IT STARTS AT 10:00 AM. A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOLLOWED IN PORT SAINT LUCIE. THERE WILL BE A SERVICE AT OLD MEMORIAL PARK AT 10:00 A.M. AND IN EFFECT. PIER

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office investigates shooting incident in Lake Worth Beach

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Monday it was investigating an incident in which there was gunfire. Deputies went to Lake Worth Beach at 9:40 p.m. Saturday after receiving calls reporting shots fired. The sheriff's office said it received anonymous calls reporting large groups of juveniles running from the upper parking lot of Benny's on the Beach and the mall as the gunshots were heard. The sheriff's office said that when its deputies arrived at the beach, several shell casings were located, and no victims were located. LAKE WORTH BEACH, Florida —

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Monday it was investigating an incident in which shots were fired.

Deputies went to Lake Worth Beach at 9:40 p.m. Saturday after receiving calls about shots fired. The sheriff's office said it received anonymous calls reporting large groups of juveniles running from the upper parking lot of Benny's on the Beach and the shopping center as gunshots were heard.

The sheriff's office said when its deputies arrived at the beach, several gun shell casings were found and no victims were located.

Anyone with information related to the incident, including cell phone video and/or photographs, is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers.
