Florida man charged with sex trafficking Alabama minors

Federal prosecutors say a Florida man lured Alabama minors into sex to produce videos and harassed three people on social media apps in two Alabama counties for nearly three years .

A federal grand jury indicted Trevon Lamont Brown, 23, of Marion County, Florida, on two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of sexual exploitation of children, two counts of coercion and enticement of a minor and three counts of cyberharassment.

United States Attorney Prim F. Escalona and Customs Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Katrina W. Berger announced the nine-count indictment Friday.

Prosecutors say Brown induced two individuals in June 2023 “through the use of force, threats of force, fraud and coercion” to engage in commercial sex acts in Madison County.

Between August 2021 and November 2021, Brown is accused of enticing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for videos.

Additionally, prosecutors allege that between December 2020 and March 2021, Brown enticed and coerced another minor to engage in sexual exploitation.

Brown was also accused of cyberstalking three people in Jefferson County over nearly three years, from 2020 to 2023, via TextNow and Snapchat.

The Birmingham office of Homeland Security Investigations investigated the case, working with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), and police in Clarksville, Tennessee and Ocala, Florida.
