First responders helped extinguish a third-alarm fire at the Springfield BioMass Power Plant Friday, authorities said. Authorities said the fire grew to a third alarm after a conveyor belt became fully involved and part of the structure collapsed. More than a dozen crews worked for several hours to put out the fire at 1 a.m.

Authorities said there were no injuries.
