First Auto Gallery Burglary – Stafford County Sheriff's Office

Deputies and detectives are investigating a recent burglary that occurred over the weekend.

On July 1 at approximately 9:38 a.m., Deputy Chief Ramirez responded to First Auto Gallery LLC, located at 24 Derrick Lane, for a business alarm. He was advised that an audible alarm was coming from the business. As Deputy Chief Ramirez responded, the business owner advised that he was on scene and that the business had been burglarized.

Police arrived to find the glass door broken. Five key fobs, all belonging to Mercedes-Benz vehicles, were stolen, as well as two Mercedes vehicles. Using surveillance cameras, it was discovered on June 30 at approximately 11:04 p.m. that two male suspects were approaching the business. They used a rock to break the glass and gain entry. They stole the key fobs from a key box. The first suspect fled in a Mercedes, hitting a parked vehicle in the process. The second suspect also fled in a Mercedes.

Virginia State Police were able to locate one of the vehicles driving recklessly on I-95 in Prince William, which led to a pursuit. They were able to arrest the driver and recover that vehicle. The other vehicle has not yet been located and has been logged as stolen in a law enforcement database. If you have any information regarding this burglary, please contact Detective KL Warnick at 540-658-4450.
