Remaining evacuation warnings have also been lifted. A mandatory evacuation was ordered for some residents near the fire after it broke out Tuesday morning, but the order was not issued later in the day.

Cal Fire has 90 members battling the blaze. As of Friday, crews were working to fully contain it by connecting control lines around the fire and mopping up inside the fire perimeter. According to the U.S. Forest Service, mopping up is the “strenuous physical process of extinguishing or removing burning material near control lines.”

The fire started along the Old Lawley Toll Road and has spread across 40.6 acres. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
