Pittsburgh firefighters called to former Beltzhoover Elementary School

A fire broke out at the former Beltzhoover primary school on Tuesday evening for the second time in a few days. Pittsburgh firefighters responded to the building on Cedarhurst Street in the Beltzhoover neighborhood around 8 p.m. The cause of the fire has not been determined. First responders were called to the building for another fire Saturday morning. Built more than 100 years ago, the old schoolhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A fire broke out at the former Beltzhoover elementary school on Tuesday evening for the second time in just a few days.

Pittsburgh firefighters responded to the building on Cedarhurst Street in the Beltzhoover neighborhood around 8 p.m.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

First responders were called to the scene following a new fire on Saturday morning.

Built more than 100 years ago, the old schoolhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was one of 10 closed by Pittsburgh Public Schools in 2004.
