CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Independence Day, or the Fourth of July, is coming soon. There are only about two weeks left, which means it's time to decide how you plan to celebrate this year.

Here is a list of Independence Day celebrations in and around Chattanooga, North Georgia and the Tennessee Valley.

Tennessee

Hamilton County

Wednesday, July 3 – Pops on the River at Coolidge Park. Events start at 4:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 3 – Collegedale Freedom Festival at The Commons. Events start at 4 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday July 3 – Fireworks at Church C4. Events begin at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk.

Thursday, July 4 – Chattanooga Lookouts Independence Day Fireworks after the game, which begins at 7:15 p.m.

Saturday, July 6 – Soddy-Daisy Independence Day Celebration at Soddy Lake/North Park.

Saturday, July 6 – Lakesite Freedom Celebration at Dallas Bay Church. Lasts from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

McMinn County

Thursday, July 4 – Downtown Sweetwater Independence Day Celebration. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begin at dusk.

Rhea County

Saturday, July 29 – Shake the Lake Celebration at Veterans Park in Spring City. Starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 6 – Fireworks over the water at Eden of the Lakes at Watts Bar in Spring City. Starts at 9:45 p.m.

Georgia

Catoosa County

Saturday, July 6 – Catoosa County Fireworks at Collonade at 264 Catoosa Circle. Festivities start at 11 a.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Fannin County

Saturday, June 29 – McCaysville and Copper Basin Independence Day. Events last from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Walker County

Friday June 28 – Lafayette Freedom Festival at the Ross Abney Sports Complex from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday, June 29 – Downtown Chickamauga Independence Day Celebration, 4 to 10 p.m.

Saturday, June 29 – Flintstone Freedom Fest at Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene from 5 to 9 p.m.

Whitfield County

Friday, June 28 – Dalton's Pops at Burr Park, located at Burr Performing Arts Park. Events last from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Wednesday, July 3 – Fireworks Extravaganza from Olivia Baptist Church in Dalton. Events start at 7 p.m.

Saturday, July 6 – Varnell, Georgia. Highland Forest Pool Area at 9:30 p.m.

Alabama

Jackson County

Saturday, June 29 – Scottsboro Independence Celebration on the Square from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, July 4 – Stevenson Fireworks at 104 Adams Street, starting at 8 p.m.

North Carolina

Cherokee County

Thursday, July 4 – Murphy Independence Day fireworks at Konehete-Veterans Park. The fireworks begin at nightfall.
