Fight at Sinaloa middle school: 8 students arrested

(KRON) — Eight middle school students were arrested last Friday in connection with a fight on a middle school campus, Novato police said. The students arrested were aged 12 to 14.

Novato police were informed of the incident, which occurred on the Sinaloa college campus last Friday at 1 p.m. The investigation revealed that after lunch, a group of students planned to attack another student.

As the student was being attacked, students gathered together and began cheering for the fight while recording it on their phones. Another student intervened to break up the fight and was also attacked, police said.

Both students suffered minor injuries and were hospitalized.

Novato PD launched an immediate investigation, in partnership with the school and the Novato Unified School District. All parties involved were quickly identified, police said.

On Tuesday, the Novato PD Investigative Section arrested eight Sinaloa students who started the altercation. The students were booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall on charges of conspiracy and felonious assault.

Anyone with additional information regarding the incident is asked to contact Novato PD.
