Ferrisburgh woman arrested for drunk driving after multi-vehicle crash

FERRISBURGH — A three-vehicle crash on Kellogg Bay Road led to the arrest of a local woman on suspicion of driving under the influence Thursday evening.

At approximately 5:34 p.m., police were called to the scene near the intersection of Kellogg Bay Road and Riverview Road.

Upon arrival, they discovered that a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by Stacy Paquin, 52, of Ferrisburgh, had lost control and rolled, causing damage to two parked cars: a 2024 Mazda CX-50 and a Tesla Model Y 2023.

Paquin, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered suspected moderate injuries.

However, she refused EMS transport to the scene.

During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment and conducted a field sobriety test.

Paquin was arrested for drunk driving and taken to the New Haven Barracks for further processing, where she refused evidentiary testing.

After her arrest, Paquin complained of increasing pain from her injuries and was transported to Porter Medical Center for treatment.

She was later released on summons to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on a date to be determined.

The driver of the Mazda, Ariel Rotax, 36, of Elkton, Florida, was uninjured during the incident.

The Tesla Model Y was unoccupied at the time of the collision.

Both vehicles sustained damage to the driver's side.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
