FBI, Sheriff's Office investigate York County bank robbery

The York County Sheriff's Office said a “lone gunman” fled with an undisclosed amount of cash after allegedly robbing a local bank. Investigators say the FBI was called in to assist in the investigation, centered at the Gorham Savings Bank on Sokokis Trail in Waterboro. The man allegedly entered the bank shortly before 2 p.m. on Wednesday and demanded money. After the sheriff said he “showed a gun,” he was given money and left.
