FBI searches for two Texas women missing in northern Mexico

McALLEN, TEXAS (Border Report) — The FBI is seeking information about a South Texas mother and daughter who disappeared in the northern Mexican border state of Nuevo León.

Jessica Garcia Rojo, 17, and her mother, Juana Marcela Rojo, 55, were last heard from on May 15 as they crossed the border from Laredo, Texas, into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, around 9 p.m. Their last known location was near Monterrey, Mexico, in the state of Nuevo León, FBI officials said.


They were driving a white Dodge Caravan with New Mexico license plates 609 XBC when they disappeared.

Jessica has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 158 pounds. Juana is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 210 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Jessica has ties to the area and is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. Juana speaks primarily Spanish, according to the FBI.

Investigators believe they are still in Mexico. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI's San Antonio office at: (210) 225-6741 or submit tips online to the FBI at: tips.fbi.gov/home.

“Although the whereabouts of these women are not yet known, investigators believe they are still in Mexico. The public is encouraged to call,” FBI officials said.
