Fayetteville teen wanted for murder at Rockfish Road car wash

A murder warrant has been issued for a Fayetteville teenager in the killing of a 21-year-old during a car rally near Hope Mills last month, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday.

Leavell Malik Lamont Jenkins, 19, is wanted for first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the June 4 killing of Lamarvion Tremayne Leviticus McKinnon, 21, according to a news release.

McKinnon was shot around 1:30 a.m. near the corner of Deaver Circle and Rockfish Road.

A 911 caller, who was in a car with a friend, said they were meeting someone at a car rally when they saw a group of men.

“They were arguing or arguing. I don’t know what was going on,” the man who called said. “All of a sudden, my friends and I heard gunshots and he was lying on the ground, and everyone left him.”

Jenkins is also wanted by Fayetteville police on unrelated warrants charging him with disclosure of private images, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said it is still looking to speak with Keymonte Raquan Johnson, 24, of Fayetteville, and anyone else with information about the killing.
