Fayetteville police investigate fatal stabbing on S. Reilly Road

Fayetteville police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call about a verbal altercation between two men around 1:12 p.m. in the 700 block of S. Reilly Road.

When they arrived, they discovered a man suffering from a stab wound.

The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, but later died.

The case is still ongoing.
