Faster weapon upgrades, improved netcode, more – Destructoid

XDefiant The latest update fixes netcode issues that have been affecting multiplayer matches since launch and speeds up the weapon upgrade process. Here's everything you need to know about the brief patch notes.

Ubisoft has had its hands full lately. On June 12, an update finally added an aiming penalty for players who skipped spam. Additionally, sniper rifles finally received a nerf. XDefiant increased flinching when shot. As a result, it is more difficult for sniper rifle users to dispose of bullets. As for this time around, the update fixes other issues that have been raised over the past few weeks.

Gameplay

Speed up the process of unlocking weapon attachments by reducing the amount of XP needed to upgrade your primary weapon, from 3,500 to 3,000, and your secondary weapon, from 1,500 to 1,000. This change is retroactive, so which means your existing weapon levels will likely be even higher now. Pause for polite applause.

To counterbalance this faster access to performance-enhancing attachments – and provide a greater challenge to the community – the weapon mastery level requirements have increased. However, any player who has already unlocked Bronze/Silver/Gold skins will be able to keep them. We are not monsters.

Network code

Improved how quickly your health responds to being shot at, which should reduce the feeling of being shot behind walls.

Weapons

Players wielding the MDR while strutting around in the Firestorm skin were experiencing an abnormal level of knockback, which was reset to normal knockback. So strut your stuff.

Factions

Restored the decorum of lying down when dead for players who previously remained standing after dying under the influence of Libertad's Medico Supremo ultra.

Miscellaneous

Additional crash fixes.
