Family of missing Columbus County woman asks for help finding her

DELCO, NC (WWAY) — The family of a missing Columbus County woman is asking the public for help finding her.

Shanna Perry was last seen April 26 in the Delco area of the county, and her mother and aunt last spoke to her the day before.

Perry was 5 months pregnant when she was last seen.

Her mother Tracy Perry said Shann cared and loved her children and needed to know what happened.

“I want closure, I need closure,” Perry said. “Any mother would do it. She was very affectionate and never missed Mother's Day. I miss her, I just want to bring her home.

Christopher Rhodes of Precision Search and Rescue was involved in the search for Shanna.

Rhodes has spent the last 20 years searching for missing people throughout southeastern North Carolina and said he only cares about being able to bring closure to Shanna's family.

“And it would do my heart good, and the people who work with Precision and all the volunteers, if we could just locate her and bring her back to her family,” Rhodes said. “And we could at least put her to rest because right now we know she's not resting.”

Rhodes offers a reward to anyone who can provide a clue to Shanna's location.

Tracy appreciates all the love and support Chris has given her over the past few weeks.

“He came to my house, he came to my house, he prayed with me, him and his wife,” Perry said. “They stayed in touch and made me feel, you know, like I was a part of them and I really appreciate that.”

A spokeswoman for the Columbus County Sheriff's Office said the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was called to assist in the search for Shanna.
