Ex-husband of missing South Florida woman faces indictment in Spain disappearances case – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

MIAMI (WSVN) – The ex-husband of a South Florida woman who went missing in Spain is expected to be arraigned Monday, following the release of new surveillance photos by prosecutors.

David Knezevich, the ex-husband of Ana Henao Knezevich, is back in federal court on a kidnapping charge related to her disappearance. Ana was last seen on February 2, 2024 in Madrid, Spain. Prosecutors recently released footage they say shows David at Ana's Madrid home, spray-painting a surveillance camera and buying paint and tape from a nearby store.

Ana and David were in the process of divorcing when she disappeared. Although David's lawyers say he was in Serbia at the time of his disappearance, prosecutors maintain they have evidence to prove otherwise. The new surveillance photos are part of the evidence presented against him.

David Knezevich is currently being held without bail, but is requesting to be released. Prosecutors are fighting to keep him in custody, citing the seriousness of the charges and the risk of flight.
