Evacuations ordered in Butte County due to Grubbs Fire

A new vegetation fire forces some Palermo residents to evacuate.

The blaze, called the Grubbs Fire, broke out at Grubbs Road and Brollier Way in Palermo shortly before 4pm on Wednesday, according to unofficial sources including the Watch Duty app.

According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), the following evacuations are currently in effect:

EVACUATION ORDERS

  • Zone 867 – District Center Drive: From Wyandotte Creek, west to Dunstone Dr. From the intersection of Lower Wyandotte Rd and District Center Dr, south to Grubbs Rd.
  • Zone 868 – Katie Court: West of Tangerine Ct, east of Wyandotte Creek. North end of North Rd, south of Grubbs Rd.

EVACUATION WARNINGS

  • Zone 866 – Drescher Tract Road: Cynthiann Ln/Stageline Rd, east to Freeman Rd. From the intersection of Lower Wyandotte Rd and Drescher Tract Rd, south to south of Sutter View Ct.
  • Zone 869 – Cynthiann Alley: From Upper Palermo Rd, east to the east end of Ardeth Ct. From Maple Ln, south to the south end of Bohemia Ave.
