Elon Tryst Allegation, Coke, More: Report Paints Wild Portrait of RFK Jr. Vice President

Nicole Shanahan, running mate of independent presidential candidate and vaccine conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., says a broadly grouped study New York Times The report covering everything from admittedly fun drugs to a noted Twitter ruiner is “a hit piece.”

As you may or may not have seen earlier this week, the TimesThe article credited to journalist Kirsten Grind alleges that Shanahan used ketamine recreationally with Elon Musk at a party in 2021, with multiple sources claiming the two also had “a sexual encounter” that year . Shortly after the alleged party in question, Shanahan's husband, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, reportedly filed for divorce. In fact, the Times This article claims that Shanahan's alleged billion-dollar stature stems primarily from this split.

To be clear, the alleged Muskery had already been placed in the news cycle in 2022. At the time, Musk called the claims “total BS” and claimed he remained “friends” with Brin.

“I've only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with a lot of other people around,” he said in July. “Nothing romantic.”

Elsewhere in the Times In that article, available in full here, it is alleged that Shanahan, who has indeed never held public office (although presenting such a descriptor as some sort of shock amid the mess of current American politics seems dangerously naive at best and downright delusional at worst), also indulged in coke and shrooms during her marriage to Brin.

Of course, drugs in themselves are not a sign of something fundamentally negative. Plus, associating simple shrooms with actual medicine is pretty stupid. But the pile-on here has little to do with that, and is more about digging deeper into a confusing campaign that, as discussed above, has a direct connection to some truly dangerous vaccine conspiracies. As for the Kennedy family as a whole, many of them have used their collective platform to speak out against RFK Jr.'s views over the years. In April, more than a dozen members of the Kennedy family were confirmed to have supported the Biden-Harris ticket for 2024.

“Bobby and I receive requests from reporters, like this, daily,” Shanahan said in a tweet shared Friday. “They seem less and less focused on the issues facing the American people.”
