Elden Ring's Insane Build Lets You Try Out All of Shadow of the Erdtree's New Weapons

Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is almost here and one player has painstakingly crafted a build that can utilize all the new features it has to offer.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree hype levels are at an all-time high. The recently released trailer gave us more questions than answers, in true FromSoftware fashion.

Luckily, before this trailer, Hidetaka Miyazaki himself gave players an idea of what to expect. Shadow of the Erdtree promises the appearance of new characters from Elden Ring, a new progression system and eight new weapon types to change the gameplay.

With these shiny new toys in mind, one Elden Ring player did the math to come up with a build that should let you use them all. User X dangitjm explained his reasoning.

Initially spotted by GamesRadar+, this mathematician was responding to a message in which a player was trying to create their own Elden Ring DLC version, the suspicious absence of the Intelligence stat prompted Dangitjm to experiment. They started with a familiar mantra for any Soulsborne game, “Level Vigor!” »

“HP increased from 40 to 60 Vigor [the softcap] “produces an additional 450 HP, increasing this version's health from 1450 to 1900,” Dangitjm explained. This 30% health gain is important for survivability, but the main interest here is the other stats responding to the minimum requirements expected for new weapons.

The DLC version of Elden Ring dangitjm proposed the basis of the previous minimum requirements as follows:

  • Vigor – 60
  • Spirit – 35
  • Endurance – 30
  • Strength – 60
  • Dexterity – 48
  • Intelligence – 70
  • Faith – 50
  • Arcana – 27

This requires starting with the Vagabond class and reaching level 301, which is no easy feat. Any player wanting to try this build will probably consider heading to the best rune farming site in Elden Ring to kill a few thousand Albinaurics or birds.

While the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has similar stat requirements on its weapons as the base game, this version will allow you to run them all. Time to get to work, we suppose.
