Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in Saturday's homicide in the Whitcomb Court area.After being called to the 2300 block of Bethel Street around 3:44 a.m. for reports of a shooting, officers found a man identified as Eric Jackson, 46, of Richmond, with an apparent gunshot wound. Jackson, who was down and unconscious on the porch of a home, was pronounced dead at the scene.The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call Major Crimes Detective A.
