They had transformed their homes in Torre Annunziata into veritable drug trafficking centers, frequented daily by dozens of people, so much so that investigators recorded nearly 2,500 entries in just three months. The situation was aggravated by the fact that the two “family places”, because they were managed by related people, were active near two schools. To put an end to the activity, officers from the Torre Annunziata police station, assisted by personnel from the mobile brigade of the Naples Police Headquarters and the Crime Prevention Service, executed a precautionary order issued by the GIP from the Oplonti court at the request of the Torre prosecutor's office. Five people were involved, all accused to varying degrees and in concert with illegal possession and drug trafficking (cocaine and Indian hemp), aggravated by having acted near schools. Two subjects were taken to the Neapolitan prison of Poggioreale at the disposal of the judicial authority, the other three were subject to three different stay bans (one of the latter, the measure was notified in prison because he was detained for another reason). In addition, one of the suspects – under house arrest during the investigation period – is also accused of 45 episodes of escape, because he had left the place where he was carrying out his “home detention” without authorization. According to what was reconstructed by investigators, the five would have managed during the period in question – from November 2022 to January 2023 – two drug trafficking places located inside the Torre Annunziata building where they lived, selling drugs through collaboration between family members. . Investigators, with the help of cameras placed near the building and telephone interceptions, were able to document during the three months of investigation 1,760 entries into the home of one of the suspects and 700 into the apartment of a other subject involved in the investigations. During the operations, 5.62 grams of cocaine and 137.64 grams of Indian hemp were also seized.
