Surah: There is nothing wrong with driving against traffic in the rich city, although it causes serious inconvenience to commuters and may even cause accidents. The city police have identified over 100 places where wrong-way driving is commonplace and CCTV cameras will be installed in a Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gahlaut told TOI, “We have identified the break signals, the wrong-way driving, excessive speed, lane violation and random parking as causes of major incidents and traffic chaos. We will install cameras in the middle of the road to monitor violators. We have also identified the locations where such cameras would be installed. According to traffic police sources, one such camera was installed at Athwalines circle to combat wrong-side violations and it has yielded good results.
