The crash happened in the 2400 block of County Road. 10 North East, which is just over five miles north of Dover.

Parkin said deputies conducted what he described as an extensive search of the area and found no one.

Around 3 a.m. Friday, dispatch received a report from a 911 caller who said she had been in an accident and had just woken up in a cornfield.

Parkin said the woman's call came from the same area as the crash. Officers returned to the scene and found the woman, identified as 26 years Kelly Mehrkens.

When speaking with Mehrkens, deputies suspected she was under the influence of alcohol, Parkin said. Mehrkens was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DWI and transported to the Olmsted County Jail.

Officers also found nine grams of a suspected amphetamine on Mehrkens during his search, according to the report. Parkin says she could face two counts of third-degree DWI and a drug possession charge.
