Driver killed in multiple rollover crash identified

A driver who was ejected and killed after leaving the road and rolling several times was identified Friday by the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

Coachella resident Jose Manuel Rodriguez, 34, the sole occupant of a Ford Expedition, made an unsafe turn around 10:30 a.m. Thursday while heading east on Interstate 10, just west of Cook Street, according to California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres. He then left the right shoulder of the roadway and overturned several times.

Rodriguez was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to Torres.
