The driver whose pickup truck crashed and overturned on Route 220 at the Reach Road interchange Saturday afternoon was killed in the crash, the Lycoming County Coroner's Office confirmed.

The driver was ejected from the truck during the accident at 4:45 p.m., municipal police said. His identity should be revealed Sunday evening.

A male passenger was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport to be treated for his injuries, city police said. The truck was pulling a small trailer, police said.

For approximately three hours, traffic on Route 220 South was diverted from the highway, but was able to immediately return to the highway after crossing the overpass.

More details are expected to be released on Sunday.
