Driver identified in Hatboro hit-and-run crash

HATBORO, PA — The driver has been identified in a hit-and-run that injured a cyclist Tuesday evening, police said.

The Hatboro Borough Police Department said the driver of the vehicle has been identified and is cooperating with police.

Police have not said what charges are being filed against the driver at this time.

The cyclist was struck and injured Tuesday evening during a hit-and-run at York and Crooked Billet roads, police said. Police said the accident happened around 7:29 p.m. on Tuesday.

The cyclist was transported in a private vehicle for medical treatment, police said.

The vehicle involved, a red/brown four-door sedan, was driven by a white female, age unknown, with white hair.

The driver, who was wearing a black shirt and black shorts, stopped after the crash but left before police arrived and did not provide her identity or insurance information to the other party involved, police said.

Before leaving, the driver indicated that she may have lived near the scene of the accident.
