dream hampton presented his new documentary It was only a dream on Sunday, June 9, as part of the Tribeca Film Festival, at the SVA Theater in New York City and commented on the allegations facing Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“I'm just mad at him for having to talk about it or being asked questions about it,” she told PEOPLE, adding that she has “no idea” if the mogul of hip-hop would bear the consequences of his alleged crimes: “Everything is unfolding.”

Described as a “visual memoir,” It was only a dream is composed of videos from the music journalist's personal archives. It includes footage inside the studio with some of the biggest names in rap, including stars The Notorious BIG, Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man, Mobb Deep and Snoop Dogg.

The allegations against Diddy, 54, first became public in November 2023, when his ex Cassie alleged he raped and sex trafficked her for 10 years in an explosive lawsuit. The lawsuit was resolved to their “mutual satisfaction” the next day, although four other people publicly accused the music mogul of sexual assault in the following months.

In December, Diddy broadly denied the sexual assault accusations in a statement, writing in a statement obtained by PEOPLE: “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick paycheck. »

The rapper's properties in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal agents in March, and a representative for Homeland Security Investigations told PEOPLE it was “part of an ongoing investigation” in a statement. In May, CNN released hotel surveillance video from 2016 showing Diddy grabbing, shoving and kicking Cassie, 37, consistent with allegations the singer made during her original trial. In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, Cassie's lawyer said the video “only further confirms” Diddy's “disturbing and predatory behavior.”
