Dr Michael Mosley's death confirmed by Greek police as clues 'identify' star

Greek police have confirmed that the body found during the search for Dr. Michael Mosley was indeed the one. He disappeared on Wednesday on the Greek island of Symi after walking alone.

Although the body has not yet been formally identified, a police spokesperson said there was “no doubt” it was Dr Mosley. They pointed to the clues that led them to identify the TV doctor.

Konstantina Dimoglou told The Sun: “We were able to identify him by his watch and his clothes. He was found near a cave on a rocky beach.

“It's hard to say how long he survived there, but he came a very long way. He was close to where he wanted to get to.”

The television doctor left his wife Clare and her friends on the beach in Saint-Nicolas on Wednesday. Her body was discovered about three miles from the beach, a journey that would have taken her about an hour.

It has been reported that Dr Mosley's children – Alex, Jack, Dan and Kate – were unfortunately just 350 feet from where the body was discovered today when they retraced their father's footsteps SATURDAY. They had flown to the island on Saturday to join the vast search for their father.

It is understood the This Morning star went around the perimeter of a beach bar in Agia Marina and headed towards the sea. Her body was found just meters from the shore.
