Donald Trump could escape prison once convicted, but could be ordered to pick up trash with community service

DONALD Trump will likely avoid jail once convicted – but he could be ordered to pick up litter.

Experts predict a community service sentence because he has no criminal record and his crimes were not violent.

The ex-president, 77, will learn his fate on July 11 after being found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying records to hide secret payments to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

It is believed that Trump's lawyers will be sure to argue for no prison time.

Criminal defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman said he “did not expect” the billionaire tycoon to be incarcerated.

He believes that community service – including “picking up trash from the side of the road” – was a more likely outcome.

Meanwhile, Trump supporters registered their protests against the verdicts.

Many posted upside-down American flags online to symbolize state corruption that they said tipped the scales in favor of the verdict.

Trump himself called his trial “rigged” and called America a “fascist state” in a furious rant against his Democratic rival Joe Biden.

Within hours of his conviction, donations to Republican Trump's presidential campaign began pouring in at a rate of around £850,000 an hour.

Trump, the first US president convicted of a crime, plans to appeal his conviction.

He will likely face Biden in their second presidential election matchup in November.

But a post-conviction poll found that 49 percent of independents and 15 percent of Republicans believed he should now end his White House bid.

Biden is ahead
