Dodge County Sheriff's Office searches for missing woman

CLYMAN, WI – The Dodge County Sheriff's Office held a press conference Thursday and discussed the ongoing search for Crystal Rasch, 37, of Clyman, Wisconsin. Rasch was last seen on June 11 and was reported missing on June 23. As for her last known location, authorities have only confirmed that she was last seen “in public.”

The sheriff's office has asked community members not to participate in the investigation and is not seeking volunteers at this time. Sheriff Dale Schmitt said they are in a difficult situation.

“If we have volunteers to assist us in these searches, we lose the ability to preserve evidence for an investigation that may be necessary,” Sheriff Schmidt said.

In a statement, the sheriff's office also asked civilians to avoid Clyman if possible.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has been in contact with Rasch's family, and Sheriff Schmitt shared a message from them: “Please do not contact them. Please do not contact them to try to get the story. If there is information to share, we will.”

Moving forward, Sheriff Schmidt said he is seeking information and leads from every possible source; this includes digital and physical evidence.

“We all know that social media is the norm in the world, so it contains a large amount of data that we need to analyze and track. »

Sheriff Schmidt described his department's strong dedication to finding Rasch and reuniting her with her family.

“If (the deputies) aren't on patrol and sleeping, they're here trying to find Crystal as quickly as possible.”

This is a developing story. Details will be provided as they become available.
