“Disorderly” patrons at UBS Arena turned violent; 5 people arrested

Nassau police said they arrested five people who became disorderly Friday night at UBS Arena.

Detectives say officers arrived around midnight as security guards were trying to escort people away. Police said that as they took Eduardo Flores Hernandez, 24, of the Bronx, into custody, Dana Morales, 25, also of the Bronx, began shoving and attempted to hit the officers.

That's when Bronx resident Lisset Flores Hernandez, 26, bit and punched police officers and security guards, authorities said.

Additionally, police say Fernando Velasco, 50, of New York, and Andy Velasquez, 26, of the Bronx, both punched a security guard in the face while they were both being escorted out of the room.

The security guard refused to receive medical treatment on site.

Eduardo Flores Hernandez, Morales and Lisset Flores Hernandez face multiple charges, including obstructing governmental administration, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, harassment, assault and other charges.

Fernando Velasco and Andy Velasquez were both charged with third-degree assault.

According to the UBS website, several artists were performing at Mega Bash MX.
