Detroit police say they arrested graffiti artist for Beavis drawings

A graffiti artist who bragged about spray-painting the silhouette of Beavis — a cartoon character from the quirky '90s series Beavis and Butt-Head — across Detroit is facing criminal charges for his work, Detroit police said.

“Of course, our department became aware of this information and we had detectives work around the clock to track him down and apprehend him for such offenses,” said Detroit Police Sgt. »Said Daron Zhou. “The investigation is still ongoing. We know he is behind several incidents in the city and we may still be looking into a few other cases that could be part of his repertoire.”

Bryan Herrin goes by the nickname BVIS, Zhou said. He allegedly spray-painted Beavis' face on the Eight Mile and Interstate-75 bridge and other locations.
