Detectives investigating death of Lawrenceville teen arrest 19-year-old on felony murder charge

Lawrenceville Police Department detectives arrested a man for killing a 17-year-old boy at a home on Memorial Court.

Police say officers were called to a home on Memorial Court around 10 p.m. Thursday.

When they arrived at the home, they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police attempted to render aid and speak to him, and said he was able to give them some information before being taken to hospital for treatment.

Once he arrived at the hospital, officers pronounced him dead from his injuries.

When detectives began investigating the crime scene at Memorial Court, they gathered evidence and searched for witnesses.

Lawrenceville police learned the suspect was known to the victim's girlfriend and found a gun at the scene that they believe was used in the shooting.

Uriah Sincere Hall, 19, was identified as the suspect in the shooting and death, then found and taken into custody for questioning.

Police ultimately said he was charged with aggravated assault, murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing and the victim has not yet been identified, pending notification of next of kin.
