Detectives Investigate Shooting in Wilmington Royal Farms Parking Lot – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning in a Royal Farms parking lot in Wilmington.

On June 9, 2024, at approximately 11:17 a.m., troopers responded to Royal Farms, located at 1031 South Market Street, Wilmington, for a report of a shooting. While responding to the scene, officers received reports of a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound at a nearby hospital. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the Royal Farms parking lot when he was hit by gunfire from an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to hospital in a private vehicle. He remains hospitalized in stable condition.

No suspect information is available at this time. Surveillance videos and images are not yet available.

Detectives from Criminal Investigation Troop 2 are still investigating this shooting. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed or has information regarding this case to contact Detective J.
